Like all investments there is a risk involved in preconstruction investment as well. Yet all these risks are present short term and you can overcome this if you are confident of the change in the market in the long term. There could be a change in the lending rules or a fall in the real estate market or people losing money etc. This implies that you hold on to your property till the market conditions are favourable again. It has potential because of the large population of boomers and is one of the latest investment options available with reduced risks.
